Anita Miller Rieder is a unique flutist, equally at home playing modern and historical flutes. As a Fulbright Scholar, Anita earned her Doctor of Music degree at Northwestern University in Baroque flute. She also plays with the newly formed Ars Antiqua. She is principal flute of Lake Forest Symphony and frequently plays with many Chicago area orchestras.

Her love of teaching has brought her to the faculty of the Wheaton College Conservatory. Maintaining a private flute studio and teaching Kindermusik to young children has allowed her time to sing and dance with daughter Gillian.
